A CartHook alternative that takes 0% of what it sells for you
CartHook charges 1% of the revenue its app generates, on every plan including the free one, on top of the monthly fee. Here is what that costs at volume, and what a flat $19.99 costs instead.
2026-08-07 — Abakira, updated 2026-08-10CartHook’s plans have a column most pricing tables do not have. It is worth reading before the monthly price, because it is the one that keeps growing.
The pricing, from its own listing on August 7, 2026
| Plan | Monthly | Orders | Cut of what the app sells |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free to install | $0 | 0 to 100 | 1% |
| Standard | $10 | 101 to 200 | 1% |
| Professional | $25 | 201 to 500 | 1% |
| Business | $40 | 501 to 1,000 | 1% |
The commission is on every row. Including the free one. “Free to install” means the monthly fee is zero and the meter is running anyway.
What 1% actually costs you
A commission on revenue the app generates has a property that a monthly fee does not: it gets more expensive precisely when the app starts working. A month where your upsells convert badly is cheap. A month where they convert well is not. You are paying a bonus for your own good results.
Run it at 500 orders a month with an upsell attach rate that is doing its job:
| Upsell revenue that month | CartHook | Us |
|---|---|---|
| $2,000 | $25 + $20 = $45 | $19.99 |
| $5,000 | $25 + $50 = $75 | $19.99 |
| $10,000 | $25 + $100 = $125 | $19.99 |
Our column does not have a second term. There is no percentage, at any volume, ever. $19.99 a month, and the price you install on is the price you keep. That is written into the Code this app is built under.
The right-hand column is the whole page. Everything else is detail.

Three days is not a test
CartHook’s paid plans come with a 3-day trial. On most stores that is not enough orders to tell you whether a post-purchase funnel converts on your traffic, which means the decision gets made on a hunch and then billed monthly.
Our free plan has no clock on it at all. A hundred shown offers a month, on your live store, for as long as you want. You reach a verdict on real orders and then decide.
The complaint this category actually generates
It is not that the offers convert badly. It is that merchants install a post-purchase app, wait, and find the offer showing on far fewer orders than they expected, with nobody able to explain why.
The reason is a platform rule and no app can change it. Shopify does not render the post-purchase page for Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay, gift cards, cash on delivery, POS orders, or orders without a shipping address. On a mobile-heavy store that can be a large share of your volume.
We show you that share on day one, computed from your own recent orders, with the reason for each excluded order. Before you pay us anything, and free on every plan forever. If the number says this app cannot work on your store, we would rather you did not install it.
And then we cover the gap instead of shrugging at it: the offer runs on the thank-you page too, which Shopify renders on every order. So the orders that used to see nothing now see something.
What $19.99 buys
The post-purchase page, where a one-tap offer is added to the order that was just placed, on the card that was just charged, with no second checkout. Three levels, seven offers in the tree, and every offer has its own two children, one for the buyer who just accepted and a different one for the buyer who just declined. Targeting on order total or cart contents. Twenty funnels.
The thank-you page, where the offer can be added to the order that already exists rather than opening a second checkout. One order, one parcel, one shipping label. Live on real orders since August 6, 2026.
One parcel, not two. The accepted item joins the order that already exists: same order number in your support inbox, one picking slip, one shipping label. Shopify hands a paid order to fulfillment the second the buyer reaches the status page, so we hold that order ourselves until the line is in and it cannot leave without it. A merchant asked one of the older incumbents for this and was told it could not be done.
Subscriptions both ways. Sell one to a one-time buyer right after payment, or extend the one they just took, three months into six, without moving their next charge date.
A/B/C/D testing, four offers at once rather than two.
And a free plan that runs on a live store: 100 shown offers a month, no card, no trial clock, no date to remember.
Moving is one setting and it is reversible
Shopify renders one post-purchase extension at a time, chosen in your checkout settings. You switch by changing that selection and the next order goes through the new one. There is no gap and no overlap to manage. Leave CartHook installed while you test, because the way back is the same dropdown.
Rebuild your current funnel on our free plan and compare acceptance rates on your own orders. That is the only comparison that means anything.

Questions we get asked
Where exactly does the 1% apply? On the revenue the app generates, on every plan CartHook publishes, including the free one. Read the plan rows on their listing rather than taking our word for it.
Do I have to uninstall before I test another app? No. Shopify serves one post-purchase extension at a time, chosen in your checkout settings. Both can stay installed and the way back is the same setting.
What counts against the free plan here? Offers actually shown to a buyer, not orders and not revenue. A month where nothing displays costs you nothing, and your store’s own sales are never metered.
Does the price move when I grow? No. $19.99 at any volume, and the price you install on is the price you keep.
What if my store cannot show post-purchase offers at all? The dashboard tells you that on day one, from your own recent orders, free on every plan. If the number says this cannot work for you, we would rather you knew before installing than after.
