A Kaching alternative you can run on your live store without paying first

Kaching's free plan is for development stores only, so testing on real orders means a card and a 14-day clock. Ours runs 100 offers a month on a live store, and the price never moves as you grow.

There is one question worth answering before you pay for a post-purchase app: do my buyers accept anything at all?

It cannot be answered on a development store. Development stores have no real buyers, no real basket sizes and no real hesitation at the moment of the offer. The number you want does not exist there.

Where Kaching puts that question

From its listing on August 7, 2026, the free plan is limited to development stores. On a store that takes real money, the entry point is Starter at $4.99 for up to 199 orders a month, then $7.99 up to 499, then $19.99 for unlimited. Paid plans come with a 14-day trial.

So the answer to the only question that matters arrives on a clock, on a card, and inside a trial you have to remember to cancel.

Where we put it

The free plan runs on your live store. One funnel, one offer, 100 shown offers a month. No card, no trial, no date in your calendar. A hundred real offers to real buyers is enough to see an acceptance rate, and if that rate is zero you have learned something valuable for nothing.

Where they are genuinely cheaper

Under 199 orders a month, $4.99 is $4.99 and we are not going to argue with it. If you are at that size, you only need the one-click page, and the trial clock does not bother you, take the cheaper plan. We would be wasting your evening.

This page is for the store that is past that, or that wants to reach a verdict on real orders before paying anyone.

A dash means their listing does not describe it. That is not the same as saying they cannot do it, so ask them rather than taking our word for it.

The other difference shows up later

Kaching’s tiers move at 199 orders and again at 499. Ours does not move at all. $19.99 a month, flat, at any volume, and the price you install on is the price you keep, which is written into the Code this app is built under rather than promised in an email.

At the top of Kaching’s ladder you are paying $19.99 anyway. So the real question is not the price. It is what the $19.99 is buying.

Start with the obvious part. Both pages Shopify gives you after the payment, three levels deep, seven offers in the tree, and every offer has its own two children: one for the buyer who just accepted, a different one for the buyer who just declined. Targeting on order total or cart contents. Twenty funnels. Thank-you rules that read what happened upstream, so a decline is never answered like an acceptance.

Then the parts that are harder to build, which is why most of the category does not have them.

One parcel, not two. The accepted item joins the order that already exists rather than opening a second checkout: same order number in your support inbox, one picking slip, one shipping label. Shopify hands a paid order to fulfillment the second the buyer lands on the status page, so we hold that order ourselves until the line is in. Live on real orders since August 6, 2026.

Subscriptions in both directions. Sell a subscription to a one-time buyer straight after payment, and extend a subscription the buyer just took, three months into six, without moving their next charge date.

A/B/C/D testing, four offers at once rather than two.

And a number nobody else shows you: what share of your recent orders can even receive a post-purchase offer, and why the rest cannot. Free on every plan, including the free one.

Testing it costs nothing and takes one setting

Shopify renders one post-purchase extension at a time, selected in your checkout settings. Switching is that selection, the way back is the same one, and nothing forces you to uninstall anything while you compare.

Run your current offer on our free plan and compare acceptance rates on your own orders.

Questions we get asked

Why does testing on a development store not count? Because development stores have no real buyers, no real basket sizes and no real hesitation at the moment of the offer. The acceptance rate you are trying to measure does not exist there.

What is the catch on the free plan? The limits are the catch, and they are printed: one funnel, one level, 100 shown offers a month. Past that the offer stops displaying until the first of the next month. Your own orders are never affected, and we warn you at 50, 70, 90 and 100 percent so it is never a surprise.

Does a shown offer mean an order? No. We count offers actually displayed to a buyer, never your store’s orders or revenue. A month with no displays costs you nothing.

Can I keep both apps installed? Yes. Shopify serves one post-purchase extension at a time and you choose it in your checkout settings.

Does the price change as I grow? No. There are no tiers to cross.
