Sell one more thing after they pay. On both of the pages Shopify gives you.

Post Purchase Upsell Abakira shows your buyer an offer right after they pay, before the order confirmation. One click adds it to the order they just placed, same card, no second checkout. And when Shopify skips that page, which it does on Apple Pay, PayPal and a large share of mobile, the offer moves to the thank-you page instead.

See it set up, end to end

Alexander Shenton installed the app on his own store and filmed the whole setup, from install to a live offer. Nothing is sped up and nothing is staged.

The funnel

Up to three offers in a row. At every step the buyer accepts or declines, and either way the next one appears. The offer after a decline is your downsell — where a large share of post-purchase revenue actually comes from.

Two pages, not one

Every app in this category hits the same wall. Shopify does not render the post-purchase page for Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay, gift cards, cash on delivery, POS orders, or orders without a shipping address. On a mobile-heavy store that can be half your orders, and no app can change it.

So we put the offer where Shopify always shows up: the thank-you page. Those buyers get a card with the product and the discount already applied, one tap into a pre-filled cart. The orders that used to see nothing now see something.

And when the post-purchase page did run, the thank-you page knows what happened on it. You write the rules. A buyer who accepted your upsell sees a different card from one who declined, and if you want to re-offer the declined product at a better price, that is your call to make rather than ours. The first matching rule wins, and when none matches the buyer sees nothing at all instead of something picked at random.

You still get the number. From day one your dashboard shows what share of your recent orders could receive a post-purchase offer, and why the rest could not. Not as a warning. So you know which of the two pages is carrying your revenue.
